Current paintings and projects

In order to inform you of my progress I thought I'd create a new page on my web-site which I will update as I begin each new piece of art, then you will know when to expect a new image of it on the web-site.

I have recently finished a series of four acrylic/ink paintings which are bold, geometric and abstract in design - specifically for sale in a gallery in East Yorkshire. I will post the gallery details and the images of these paintings once I have delivered them next week.

Another of my current paintings is another acrylic, this time on an acrylic board 18 x 24 inches. It is a sliced-through view of a red cabbage, again taken from a photograph I took a long time ago! I tend to take lots of photographs for the sole purpose of later creating a work of art from it. The subtle changes from the cerise to the white areas of the cabbage are proving to be the hardest parts to do and I am hoping that when I next attempt these, it will all come together just right for me.

I also have a portrait on the go, which is taking me far too long to do, but I just keep thinking that I can't get it right, so have left it for a while deliberately until my mind is in the right "zone" again. The portrait is another acrylic on board at 18 x 24 inches.
